Veesion detects 12 gesture types, each classified by risk level:

High risk π΄:
- Concealment β product hidden under the person's clothes.
- Personal bag β product placed into a handbag, fanny pack, satchel, suitcase, or sports bag.
- Backpack β product concealed in a backpack.
Medium risk π :
- Suspicious bag β product placed in a tote bag, canvas bag, helmet, or hard-to-characterise container.
- Stroller β product concealed in or under a stroller.
- Shelf sweeping β grabbing 4+ products rapidly and placing them in a bag.
- Consumption β product eaten or drunk in-store.
- Deblistering β packaging opened or safety lock removed.
- Gesture close to body β product held close to the body without certainty that it was concealed.
Low risk π‘:
- Grocery bag β product placed in a personal shopping bag or personal trolley.
- Store bag β detects products placed into the storeβs trolley or basket. It tends to generate unwanted alerts in supermarkets, so it's deactivated by default and recommended for pharmacies only. To activate or deactivate it, contact support.
- Slightly suspicious β gesture not clearly categorisable but potentially linked to shoplifting.
All 12 gestures can be activated or deactivated by you directly in the app, per camera, or across all cameras.
